Audit and Assurance Experience
I am a highly experienced assurance services professional with a strong passion for our profession. My career began with the accounting firm Deloitte providing assurance services for public, private and not-for profit organizations. During my time with Deloitte, I also had the privilege to work with a talented and specialized team in the Global National Office to examine, evaluate and implement changes to the worldwide firm audit methodology.
I have been heavily involved with helping practitioners understand the major changes to the assurance standards including the Canadian auditing standards, the Clarity Project (effective since 2012 in the U.S) and the Canadian Standards on Review Engagements 2400. I have developed and delivered training programs to numerous CPA firms in both Canada and the U.S. to help assurance practitioners effectively and efficiently manage the changes in the assurance standards.
The goal of these services is to help CPA firms in the continual improvement of documentation, cost recovery and the development of their people.
