Garth Sheriff is Founder and Chief Learning Officer of Sheriff Consulting, a NASBA-approved provider of QAS Self-Study and on-demand CPE in artificial intelligence, fraud, and professional ethics.
His cinematic, story-driven programs transform real-world events—from FTX and Boeing to the origin of ChatGPT—into practical lessons on risk and professional judgment.
Garth also holds the ISACA Advanced in AI Audit (AAIA) certification, reflecting his specialized expertise in AI governance and oversight.

Garth Sheriff has worked as an assurance professional and learning provider for over 20 years. Through Sheriff Consulting, he prepares and trains CPAs and finance professionals to navigate the ethical, fraud, and governance challenges shaping the profession today—including the risks and opportunities emerging from the rapid rise of artificial intelligence.
He earned a Master of Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours – Accounting) from the University of Waterloo, Canada. He is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPAO), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
Garth has also performed in stage and film productions. A graduate of the improvisation program at The Second City and a member of ACTRA (the Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists), he brings a distinctive storytelling approach to professional education.
