Garth Sheriff is the founder of Sheriff Consulting. We specialize in designing and delivering professional and leadership skill courses for CPAs and finance professionals. Sheriff Consulting’s mission is to provide an engaging approach to your continuing professional education (CPE).
Our online content is designed for maximum engagement using the latest developments in adult learning pedagogy and current research in technical, professional and leadership skills. The learning objectives in our CPE courses will help you:
- Navigate the challenges of collaborating, communicating and learning in the hybrid workplace.
- Improve key professional and leadership skills, such as delivering engaging virtual presentations.
- Prepare for how transformative technology such as blockchain and artificial intelligence will impact our profession.
Garth has worked as an assurance professional and learning provider for over 20 years. He has prepared and trained CPAs for key changes to the profession, including internal control documentation (SOX), audit clarity standards and revenue recognition (ASC 606). Garth has also acted in various stage and film productions. He is a graduate in improvisation from The Second City.

Sheriff Consulting is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors.
State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
