Course Description:

Blockchain has been described as a transformative technology that will fundamentally change our relationships with third-party intermediaries including banks, lawyers and accountants. Blockchain technology has the potential to be a significant disruptor in terms of how business transactions are initiated, authorized and recorded. It has been compared in magnitude to the introduction of the internet. But, what is Blockchain, how does it work and why should we care? We will make blockchain technology understandable and provide you with action steps to help you prepare for this game-changing technology.

2. Identify who created blockchain technology
3. List 1 reason why blockchain technology was created
4. Identify the difference between blockchain and bitcoin
5. Identify 1 problem blockchain had to solve to replace intermediaries such as banks.
6. List at least 2 challenges created by blockchain technology
7. Identify at least 1 type of cryptocurrency
8. Identify 1 characteristic of a smart contract
9. Identify at least 1 opportunity created by blockchain technology
10. Identify 1 practical use of blockchain technology
