What made you choose Sheriff Consulting?

My name is Andrew Chan, and I am the CFO of NexTech AR Solutions, I am a CPA and I’m in the technology sector. Here in Ontario, we have Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements, and every three years, you are supposed to have 120 hours. I found myself at the end of the third year with some hours missing.  I do not tend to do well in CPD courses. I lose focus on the materials that are being presented, so I wanted to find something more useful and engaging.

How has Sheriff Consulting helped with your career development?

Garth kept me engaged throughout the course. He always has interesting views and comments. I was captivated by what he had to say and the way he said it.  There were some courses on pandemic stress management and human resource topics, like dealing with teams through the pandemic and the work-from-home environment. I found those management topics really useful and applied a lot of those lessons while working with my team.

What makes Sheriff Consulting better than other professional development programs?

I think the delivery is so important. When you have somebody presenting who is enthusiastic and makes an effort to engage and connect with everybody, it goes a long way. 

Is Sheriff Consulting worth the investment?

I think that working with Sheriff Consulting is definitely worth the investment. When you compare it to the other options out there, I find it to be a reasonable return on your dollar.

Who would you recommend Sheriff Consulting to?

I think in general, all CPAs would benefit from this CPD course. I think it is a great option for everybody who needs to fulfil CPD requirements, while still learning something valuable in the process.

Continually learning and developing is part of being a CPA and this is a great way to do that.b
